Since Lee Kaplan was defamed in Wallace's original article and falsely accused of being involved with a death threat left on Alison Weir's answering machine, this "retraction" was re-published in an attempt to avoid a lawsuit.
Too bad Wallace didn't take the time to correct much of the misinformation in his original article with this updated version.
Kaplan has also reasonably insisted that every copy of Wallace's original "Expose" article be removed from all websites across the country. If Wallace is unable to do this, the damage to Lee Kaplan's reputation will continue.
Wallace has committed some very shoddy journalism and caused unknown harm as a result. The ridiculous debate over whether Kaplan was in "print" or not shows the degree of obfuscation which Wallace and his supporters are willing to engage.
