First, no one responded to my question of why is law enforcement being singled out for being the only "corrupt" organization in the world? Why wasn't anyone here making a fuss when revelations about priests abusing younh boys was spreading? Why isn't anyone here making some noise about the young men and women who are risking their lives in a war, supported by government officials that aren't sending their kids there?
Don't get me wrong, un sandinista, your statement was loud and clear, but I've never followed the theory that "if it happens to me then it must happen to everyone." That's a "cop-out;" that would be like saying if one youth from a bad area can succeed then they all should be able to.
Second, I'm trying to show both sides of every stance. When someone writes "fuck all police" they're stereotyping and that's wrong. If "Bad Cop, No Donut" would also give praise when cops put away a pedophile or save a drunk driver from a burning car then I wouldn't have a problem with the purpose of the show.
Third, as for the police taser incident. Police got these so people like danielsan wouldn't make a big stink everytime somebody got shot. Give the officers credit for having the piece of mind to utilize that resource. Now that they've used you want to blame the cops for the taser killing someone? I can see it now, before hitting the streets a bunch of cops turn up the watts of electricity in their tasers so that it'll really pack a punch... get real. Don't yell at the cops, yell at the companies who are making those weapons.
Finally, if you hate cops, nothing I say is going to change anyone's mind. For every bad thing you hear about cops, there's something good that they've done that we'll never hear about.
