Now, to those who have made comments that have an iota of intelligence, I have to ask this question... If the police shouldn't use a taser, what should they use?

The cold hard fact of reality is that sometimes the police do encounter violent individuals that necessitate the use of force. What would you suggest the police do in this situation?

We're not talking about police brutality, which certainly exists, but that is a different question...
