Probably close to a thousand people were in the parade. Easily. 500 is a low ball estimate. The parade streched at one point from the Del Mar all the way to the Cinema 9. That doesn't happen with 500 people. On top of that, there were easily thousands of people on the sidewalks watching and enjoying the parade, which while not actively participating, is still participating.
