Call in "Pink" Because You're Sick of War - August 15th

Here is yet another way to resist war. If you're interested in carpooling to Sacramento from the Central Coast, please email.
Call in "Pink" because you're sick & tired of WAR - Monday, August 15th

Sacramento/Davis CODEPINK is shouting for all Californians to "Call in 'Pink' because you're sick & tired of WAR" Monday, August 15th. We're asking all CodePinkers and our allies to join us 4:45 a.m. at the MEPS center (military employment processing service) in Sacramento to begin our "work one day for peace" actions.

The MEPS center is where they bus potential recruits to convince them to enlist - we want to be there to show them the real face of war.

We'll continue our actions at various military recruiting stations & national guard headquarters to demand an end to the militarization of our youth.

We'll assemble at the capitol to lobby legislators at 11:00a.m. to introduce a bill to bring home the California National Guard.

And we'll conclude with a pinknic & rally on the grounds!

For more info call 530-756-1900; in Sacramento area; 415-575-5555 in Bay Area; or email natandben (at) or itsherbiz (at)

"Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is."

- George W. Bush, discussing Kosovo, Houston Chronicle, 04-09-99

Re: Call in "Pink" Because You're Sick of War - August 15th

"I'm the commander, see, I don't need to explain. I don't need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being the President. Maybe somebody needs to explain to me why they say something, but I don't feel like I owe anybody an explanation."

- George W. Bush, Washington Post, 11-19-02
