Radical Pacifism: Conscience, Direct Action, and Community Sunday 11/20/05 @ RCNV

Please come on Sunday November 20th at 7 pm at the Resource Center for Nonviolence to watch the new film "Walking Rainbow: Fred Moore remembered" followed by a panel discussion about nonviolent direct action and the legacy of Fred Moore. We are asking for a $5-20 sliding scale donation, with no one turned away for lack of funds. Proceeds will go to help with distribution of "Walking Rainbow"
Dicussion will focus on the the role of personal witness and nonviolent direct action in social change movements, based in part on the new film describing the extraordinary life of Fred Moore. Moore is prominently featured in the new book "What the Dormouse Said..." that highlights Fred's contribution to the democratic use of the internet and computer techonology. He was active in many walks for disarmament and other social justice issues, nonviolent civil disobidience and direct actions.

The panel will feature:

-Marje Swann, founder of the Committe for Nonviolent Action

-Irene Moore, Fred Moore's daughter

-Markley Morris, film maker of Walking Rainbow"

-Peter Klotz-Chamberlin, Chair of the RCNV Steering Committee
