Religion Is A Legal Tool, Not A Spiritual Tool

Activists and Anarchists who still believe in ghosts, gods, spooks, and spirits, have no idea that the issues in today's civilization, that they fight so hard to resolve, all began as a result of Old Testament religions. Every single one of them. Protesting an issue, and at the same time, praying to a Jewish god (or Allah) to help resolve the same issue, is like trying to "have your cake and eat it too." Molotov Mouths at Practical Activism 2004

On October 30, 2004, the 2nd annual Practical Activism conference was held at UC Santa Cruz (college nine/ten multipurpose room). The day featured interactive workshops and presentations that provided students and activists from both the Monterey and San Francisco Bay with tools for local and global change.

The closing performance was by Leroy Moore and James Tracy, two members of The Molotov Mouths Outspoken Word Troupe, a collective of Bay Area politically-direct poets. Felton Free Radio - a benefit to support SLV Independent Community Radio

This is a chance for Felton residents and others in the San Lorenzo Valley to get involved in independent media and support their own community radio node. With the ongoing FLOW/CalAm struggle, we are ready for more local independent voices in our community.

Friday January 21st from 7pm to 11pm
Felton Grocery Outlet parking lot

We'll be helped out by Santa Cruz Guerilla Drive-In, Felton FLOW, Grocery Outlet, Santa Cruz Indymedia Project, and a few other groups. We'll have food, entertainment, inspiring speakers, a feature film, and a few great short films. We'll have popcorn, drinks, cookies, and maybe musical entertainment.

We'll have a few special guests talking about the need for independent media. More local media voices in our community means more help with our local struggle.
