Ways YOU Can Support the STRIKE at UCSC!

=Wednesday Oct 9 7pm - Students for Labor Solidarity meeting at the Student Union (the old Baytree Bookstore). We will be attaching the strike pledges to a big roll of kraft paper in order to make a "wall" of student support
to bring to the rally on thursday. We also will be working on last minute organizing strategies.

Safe Haven Santa Cruz Tent Village Busted Tuesday Morning

After the bigotry of the County Planning Department prompted the redtagging of their 12-person campground on church property in Aptos, campers from the former Camp Paradise marched first to the Pogonip, then down to the Depot Site in back of the old Lighthouse Liquors Building near the Wharf and set up Camp. 10-20 people were reportedly given tickets by police and have moved to City Hall in search of shelter.
