Marriage Equality rally
Any day now, the California State Supreme Court will be deciding whether Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco overstepped his authority by ordering
marriage licenses to be issued to same-sex couples; the court may also decide whether the more than 4,000 same-sex marriages performed in San Francisco are valid.
On the day that the court releases its decision, we will meet at 6:00 pm at the Town Clock in downtown Santa Cruz, to celebrate with or to comfort one another; if you were married in San Francisco, please bring a copy of your marriage license; otherwise, please bring a sign.
