Israel is "occupying" Israel
Israel defended itself from an attack by 5 Arab nations in 1967, and in a DEFENSIVE war, took over territory that had been home to Jewish people for 3,300 years and part of ancient Israel. Israel administered those territories (previously OCCUPIED by JORDAN and EGYPT) from 1967 to 1993 by building schools, medical clinics, hospitals, universities, expanding water, sewer, and electical infrastructure, and providing UNIVERSAL health coverage to all Palestinian people living there. In 1993, Israel handed over administrative control to the Palestinian Authority.
Israel is not a foreign army occupying another country. There is no country called "Palestine" and there never was one.
Does anyone here know how to read a history book?

But, there will be one, sooner or later. Because the concept of a state that provides preferences for Jews only, while suppressing the longtime indigenous population is unsustainable.

Really? If so, I must have mistakenly read that Israel just killed nearly 100 people in Gaza over the last week or so. If so, why is it virtually impossible for Palestinians to travel to work and to school? Why do settlers and Israeli forces uproot Palestinian orchards and prevent Palestinian farmers from harvesting their crops?
<
and, after the Palestinian ingrates responded as people invariably do to occupation, by stoning and attacking the Israelis, Israel proceeded to destroy all of its good works, assuming they ever happened in the first place, after all, Israel also expelled many Palestinians who resisted the occupation, and detained numerous others, during this period, and continues to do so
as someone said on DemocracyNOW! this morning: "the goal of the Israeli elite is to incorporate as much of the occupied territories as possible with as few remaining Palestinians as possible"
for anyone wanting to hear a view other than that of the pro-Israel apologist here, a view from an Arab perspective, you can listen to this program over the Internet today at 5pm at www.kdvs.org
it is also possible to listen to download the archived file of this program for one week only at this website as well by going through the Schedule/Grid link on the top left side of the home page

(Paragraph 2 response to this quote) "Israel is not a foreign army occupying another country."

who is more indigenous than whom?
You think the Palestinians are responding to "occupation" and thats why they are throwing stones and sending in the suicide bombers? Then why did the Arabs attack Israel BEFORE 1967 and BEFORE any occupation? Could it be they just want to kill Jews? Oh, don't take MY word for it. Look at the PLO mission statement or even the one year old Palestinian Authority constitution. Neither recognizes Israel as a Jewish country and both call for its destruction.
Israel has destroyed all its good works? Does this mean that Israel has bombed Palestinian schools, health clinics, hospitals, and universities --- the ones they built prior to 1993? Gee. I didn't know they did that. I thought the IDF were primarily going after the bad guys. You know, the ones who will stop at nothing to Kill the Jews???
Are you aware of the Kassem rockets that the Palestinians have been firing across the border into Israeli towns? Could that have provoked a response by the IDF? Do ya think?
As for uprooting Palestinian orchards, did you know that Israel dug up and replanted 600,000 trees when it built the security barrier?
As for allowing Palestinians to harvest their crops---the IDF said they will allow them access to their fields. Olive trees only require access during the 3 week harvest season anyway. It ought to be a piece of cake!

Fixation on things perceived Jewish
The Chinese have occupied Tibet since the 50's. Then there is the arab Syrians that occupy Lebanon?
If you really cared about occupation then you would have mentioned these two acts. Of course since no one has claimed that they are controlled by Jews then you are not interested in it. Your bigotry and bias shows through.
