Practical Activism: Tools for Local and Global Change at UCSC Oct. 30

Come to a day long conference at UCSC dedicated to exploring tools for local and global change. The day includes workshops, speakers, tabling by community and campus organizations, food, student art, and spoken word performances.

Registration begins at 10 AM, workshops are held from 11:45 to 3:00, and tabling continues until 5:00. Everyone is welcome and the entire day is free.

UCSC, College Nine/Ten Multipurpose Room

College Nine, College Ten and Oakes College will be hosting a day-long conference.

Keynote speaker Assemblyman John Laird and Schwarzenegger recently just handed a gigantic victory to their corporate backers, especially the insurance industry, on the backs of injured workers by gutting Workers' Compensation in California.
