Santa Cruz County Food Forum, Feb. 26th

Santa Cruz County Food Forum You are invited to participate in the Santa Cruz County Food Forum on Saturday, February 26th from 9AM to 5:30 PM (lunch provided!) at the Cabrillo College Cafeteria in Aptos.

If you had a say, how would you change the way we produce, process, distribute and prepare food?

By attending this one-day forum you will help develop specific actions for improving the food system of Santa Cruz County. You will also help build a stronger network of people for accomplishing these actions.

Do you eat food?

Are you concerned about some aspect of Santa Cruz County food?

Please come to the Santa Cruz County Food Forum! Saturday, February 26th at the Cabrillo College (Aptos, CA) Cafeteria from 9AM to 5:30 PM.

IF YOU COULD, WOULD YOU:
· create a better future for growing, selling and eating food in Santa Cruz County?
· meet and work with people to create that future?

HERE IS YOUR CHANCE!
FOR EXAMPLE, DO YOU WANT:
· more fresh food available where you live?
· to link local farmers with school cafeterias?
· OR ANY OTHER TOPIC THAT RELATES TO THE FUTURE OF FOOD IN THE COUNTY?

This forum will provide you with the opportunity to meet up with other community members who share your concerns and want to do something about them. Because this format depends heavily on your participation, you are strongly encouraged to attend the entire event, not just part of it. Rather than week after week of meetings, The Food Forum is providing you the "open space" to discuss possible food futures and to create positive action plans to move forward on creating these futures IN ONE DAY.

However, space is limited, RSVP IS REQUIRED! Contact foodpolicy (at) baymoon.com or call (831) 459-2741 to reserve your space and find out more information.

We hope you can join us in visioning the future food system of Santa Cruz County!

EVERYONE WHO EATS IS INVITED!

P.S. To help with outreach, forward this e-mail to people who would be interested in participating. You can also download posters at the following website: http://groups-beta.google.com/group/SantaCruzFood
