I'll quote from their site:

"Showing your nearly nude body, titillating men of various ages - eliciting lust - this is not "local girl making good."
I call the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition a slut magazine because the girls are prostituting themselves.
I am staunchly opposing any idea that any girl who would pose semi-nude in such lust producing ways is doing good. ..."

I have to tell you that these nutcases are soooooo uptite about the human body being showing just drives me nuts. They think since the grest imposture sitting in the oval office gives them the right to go after this magazine leaves me wondering what they may think about the male whoror prostitute jett gannon/guckert/talon news/gopusa dick sucking punk who had a daily press pass at the white house. Which makes me think that the imposture was getting his dick services by said male hooker!

If God wanted us to be seen naked he would have made us nude!

"Annonymous" seems a little uptight about someone in the government getting his dick sucked by a male prostitute. Gay Republicans may want to stay in the closet, and most Republicans may want Gays to stay in the closet, but this does not justify joining their anti-sex and anti-Gay crusade even when it exposes that the Republicans are being the hypocrites.

Thanks for The Free Advertising for (Men's) Sports Illustrated

Amazing how uptight some people get at the *hint* of the possibility of their pornography supply being cut off!

Since you are such an advocate of female bodies, I am curious to know where you have been for the last thirty years when Sports Illustrated has purposely kept female athletes to a minimum in their magazine, with the exception of their "swimsuit edition." Pardon me if I don't feel any concern over this.

This website seems like a publicity stunt for SI. I think Sports Illustrated will get censored -- when apple pie and baseball are banned! Where would all the hypocrites get their easily accessible porn? ?

Personally I get uptight about the possibility of our freedoms being further limited by the extreme right.

But if I want porn I'll get something stronger than Sports Illustrated.

Joe-

I visited this website and I could not find any mention of proposed legislation to ban pornography. Could you? How do you feel our "freedoms (are) being further limited by the extreme right" in this situation?

You wrote, "But if I want porn I'll get something stronger than Sports Illustrated." I'm unclear as to what this means. Are you indignant at my insinuation that the SI S/E is porn? I've seen this magazine as well as Penthouse. Sincerely, the only difference that I noticed was about two inches of fabric and the occasional penis in Penthouse. Is that the ingredient that makes it "stronger"? I would like to know because I don't see the incredible fascination that some people have with porn. Personally, I can just as easily get turned on walking through the grass barefoot.

If this this project is real, I think the "minister" who is heading this is obviously a tortured soul himself. Ironically, he seems to hold to the same madonna/whore misogynistic dichotomy of women that the pornography industry plays on.

"Showing your nearly nude body, titillating men of various ages - eliciting lust.....I call the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition a slut [?!?] magazine because the girls are prostituting themselves." - quotes from the ADA website.

When the guy who is spearheading the campaign is *that* troubled by images of semi-nude "girls", then it doesn't bode well for the future of his endeavor. He's a Jimmy Swaggert, probably with a private p.o. box where he has secret subscriptions to many "stronger" porn magzines - for investigative purposes only, of course! (Did you see his picture? He even looks like Jimmy Swaggert!) If he wasn't so hateful to women, this would be hilarious.

Please do me a favor and alert me if ever looks like we've got a legitimate threat to the freedom of people to take pictures of naked adult people. Right now I've got a digital camera, 8,000,000,000+ webpages and, apparently, so little time.

I really do share your concern about the possibility of our freedoms being further limited by the extreme right. Please fight with me for the liberties of gays and lesbians, women, people of color, particularly those from Mid-Asia; and the poor, including the homeless. There are plenty of instances where these people's freedoms are *already* being severely limited by the extreme right's agenda.
