Statewide Walkout for Public Education

MARCH TO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY BUILDINGS

2:00pm Rally at the County Buildings
Corner of Water and Ocean streets.

Join students, parents, and teachers from public schools and educational organizations

Students will be walking out of school, beginning at 12pm

– Actions will also be taking place in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego -

Current Statewide Demands are:

• No more budget cuts to public education.
• Fully fund Prop 98.
• Tax the top 1%.

This walkout is being organized by AIDE (Action In Defense of Education):

AIDE is a network fighting for public education in the state of California. We are not an organization ourselves, but we are comprised of people affiliated with other organizations. Our aim is to provide a common ground for people who are already fighting for public education, in order to bring solidarity and strength to our individual struggles.
