MST Film Screening House Party! (4/30)

We are meeting up with friends and allies to watch a brand new film about the Brazilian Landless Workers Movement (MST). We're hope to raise awarness about the MST and get some much needed support for the MST's National March for Agrarian Reform, starting on May 1st. We are asking for a small donation from those who attend. Come watch the movie with us and bring some snacks/drinks!

NOBODY WILL BE TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS.

Los Sin Tierra: Por los caminos de America, is a feature length documentary tracing the rise of Brazil's Landless Movement (MST) from its founding in 1984 to the 2002 election of Brazils first working class president, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva (Lula). Directed by Miguel Barros and co-produced by El Deseo, of award winning Spanish Director Pedro Almodovar, the film was awarded Best Documentary in Spain's 2004 Malaga Film Festival. The director spent an entire year visiting MST settlements and interviewing MST members in order to produce this firsthand account of the MST's long and difficult struggle.
