My name is Daniel Bear and I am with NORML at UC Santa Cruz. We are putting together a week of events called Drug War Awareness Week starting Monday May 16th. On that day we want to phone slam Senator Feinstein and possibly Boxer about the HEA drug provision. As some of you know, a bill will be introduced into the Senate soon to compliment HR1184, and repeal the HEA drug provision. Senator Feinstein has not voiced very strong support of this bill, and when we visited with her aid in November, she quickly turned to talking about mesothelioma, (cancer from asbestos poising). We would like it if every chapter could get at least 5 people to call that day. Anything over than that would be icing on the cake. Your support in this would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you are interested in taking part in this event. Again it will be Monday may 16th in support of the new anti-HEA drug provision legislation.
