Commenting on the London terrorist bombings, Gene Burns on KGO radio tonight (7-9PM) basicly said that for Muslims to be silent about weather they support or condemn terrorism is equivalent to them supporting terrorism. If you can suspend your anti-racism alarm for a moment and simply say that everyone could or should have that attitude, would that be the same as George W Bush saying "You are with us or you are with the terrorists" or is it close enough to the left's call for the apathetic public to wake up and realize that their silence is complicity (with regards to US sponsored terrorism for instance) to make the call the other way?

I don't know for sure.

I found this story while researching weather it is true that there was a story about Becky Johnson and Indymedia on KGO a couple of weeks ago (probably on Gene Burns' show from the attitude of Gene Burns and from the time estimate provided me by my co-worker). After listening some more to Gene Burns rant, it is clear that he is not willing to listen to reason when someone significantly dissagrees with him and will simply take any opportunity to paint anyone that dissagrees with him as someone who supports terrorism and is even a fanatic.

In a footnote, Gene Burns says that he opposes the war in Iraq. He also says that anything you say agaisnt Gene Burns' argument has nothing to do with Gene Burns' argument. But he has no idea why the terrorist bombings occur in London and the US and Israel. "Blame the victim" is all he has to say. Go figure...
