Unofficial results from Felton's Measure W ballot show that the measure has passed with 74.8% voting in support of the measure. This would open up the legal channels for Felton residents to buy back their water utility company from Cal-Am, a German owned company who want to raise water rates by 114% in the next year. A spokesperson for the company dismissed the measure in recent days and said that they will not sell the utility even if the measure does pass.

water is for drinking, not for profit!
