Marian Morris traveled to Kabul, Afghanistan, in July of 2002, with a Global Exchange Reality Tour focusing on health care. She came back with a firsthand perspective on Afghan people and their life circumstances following the U.S. bombing campaign and the humanitarian aid that followed. She will also offer information on Global Exchange in Afghanistan and on current affairs there. She is eager to share her experiences and the accounts of the people living in Afghanistan with those of us here.

Marian is studying towards her Masters in Public Health (MPH)with and emphasis on community health at San Jose State University. Her background and interests lie in the areas of reproductive health, social determinants of health, and social justice as a determinant of health. She currently works for an environmental justice project in San Jose, and she is a native Texan.
