Your help is needed!

Saturday, February 15 will be a major day of anti-war activity here in Santa Cruz. We are expecting thousands of peace-loving citizens to join us on our march (starting at the County Building at 11 am), showing our collective resistance to the Bush administration's drive toward mass destruction in Iraq. We will need your bodies, every single of one of them, to create a massive presence for Peace in Santa Cruz - but before we have all our important little details taken care of (from permits to porta-potties), we need your financial help. We have almost half the money we need, and your tax-deductible contribution of $100 or $50 will ensure that we have a first-class anti-war demonstration.
Rallies with music and art and kid's activities truly aren't free, and whatever you can spare will be well-used to create a momentous Festival for Peace here in Santa Cruz.

Event description:
The Santa Cruz Peace Coalition, in conjunction with the Resource Center for Nonviolence and other groups, is hosting a Monterey Bay Peace/AntiWar Rally right here in Santa Cruz for everyone in the Monterey Bay region. On February 15 there will be mass actions in towns and cities around the globe involving millions of people and we intend to make up a significant part of that number. We are organizing musicians, food, art, activities for children, and guest speakers who can speak to the issues of love and war in our own communities as well as in Iraq.
THE CONVERGENCE BEGINS FEBRUARY 15, AT 11AM OUTSIDE THE COUNTY BUILDING NEAR THE CORNER OF OCEAN AND WATER IN SANTA CRUZ. This will be followed with a march and a mass rally, hosting local and regional speakers and some of our area's best musicians.
