Progressive Voices on KSCO (10.80am)

Tune in to KSCO (10:80am), this Monday, March 17 between 12:15 and 1:00pm. Call in with questions at 479-1080 or 477-1340. And please encourage the management at KSCO to EXPAND this type of programming!!!
As many of you may already know, KSCO AM 1080 is experimenting with a "progressive" news talk format for the noon hour on weekdays. This coming Monday, March 17, yours truly will get a shot at hosting.

Tune in at around 12:15 to hear a discussion on the coming war in Iraq. We'll be hearing an update from Boulder Creek resident, Wade Hudson, who arrived in Baghdad, Iraq this week as a member of the Iraq Peace Team. Also joining me on the phone will be Charlie Richardson of Military Families Speak Out. Charlie's son Joe is an Arab language trained radio reconnaissance commando in the Marines, who was shipped out to the Gulf late last year. Charlie Richardson will discuss his reasons for opposing the war and his hope that the conflict will end peacefully. Also on the line will be Erik Gustafson, a Gulf War veteran and executive director of EPIC (The Education for Peace in Iraq
Center). Erik has been an advocate for the Iraqi people since 1997, when he traveled to Iraq on a humanitarian mission and became a dedicated opponent of the broad-based economic sanctions. Erik Gustafson, an expert on US policy
towards Iraq, has testified before congress, been interviewed by dozens of news outlets and delivered countless lectures. With the U.S. poised on the brink of
another war with Iraq, it is critical that we hear from people like Wade, Charlie, and Erik.
