Youth Action Coalition March and Rally on Pacific Ave. (3/28/03)

Today's march and rally was an exciting taste of what can happen when fresh faces in the struggle for peace rise up and get creative.

Thank you Youth Action Coalition, keep up the excellent work, and spread the word about future demonstrations and Santa Cruz Indymedia!

There were some familar folks marching and rallying for peace today, but for the most part there were a whole new generation of peace activists taking to the streets today in Santa Cruz.

Today's march and rally was called for by the Youth Action Coalition, which appears to be made up of high school students from Santa Cruz High School.

This march was full of energy, almost moving too fast for people to keep up. "There's an Anti-War Movement in this Town, Get up, and Get Down....," could be heard in addition to other creative chants.

Personally, I hope to see many more demonstrations organized by students from Middle school to Graduate School.
