Camp Paradise, once an illegal homeless encampment along the San Lorenzo River, has been rebuilt on 10 acres of woodlands behind the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. No longer a rogue operation, they are now the guests of the church with permission to use the land "indefinitely" by the land owner (a retired priest who owns both this church and another in Watsonville).
