Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that SLS is putting on the first annual University of California Organizing Institute (UCOI) this weekend in Santa
Cruz. It is a UC student labor conference, in which students from all of the UC campuses across the state are coming to Santa Cruz for a weekend of workshops, speakers, networking, and strategizing on how to build a state-wide UC student labor support movement!

We still have a few spots open for Santa Cruz folks to participate in this event. This is a great oppurtunity to jump start your involvement with labor issues on campus. Even if you have only been somewaht involved in the past, or even if you haven't yet started, this is good way to get going. Come meet student labor activists from around the state and see what amazing stuff they are up to.
