Corner of Bay and High,
Base of UCSC Campus
7:30AM - 3:30PM
Please donate women's, men's, children's clothing, small furniture, and kitchenware.
This clothing drive is a collaborative effort between Getting Out and Staying Out/Saliéndote y Quedándote Afuera (a project of the Santa Cruz Chapter of Friends Outside) and Students Supporting Women In Transition (a UCSC student organization). Both programs are made up of volunteers, some bilingual, from UC Santa Cruz and the community. Volunteers are dedicated to helping people in jail transition back to the community and to their families. Our strategy is to help inmates develop realistic plans regarding employment, education, their children, finding a safe place to live, and a way to get there upon release.
For more information, please call
Jolene at 427-5070.
Getting Out and Staying Out is a program of the Volunteer Centers of Santa Cruz County. We would like to acknowledge the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County and The Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women for their support.
Students Supporting People In Transition wishes to make this even accessible to people with disabilities. If you need accommodation, please call SOAR at 459-2934.
