I was in the California st., Bay st. neighborhood when I saw critical mass going through.

I remember thinking, hmmm there's too many police here.

There were police on motorcycles, and several patrol cars.

I noticed police cars also following breakaway cyclists down side streets.

How is the person who was injured doing?
Did anyone interview him or get photos of the injuries? Badge numbers, names, or license numbers of the cops who did this?

Buffalo's Critical Mass ride was also attacked. Several were beaten and many were arrested.

It's an odd coincidence that Buffalo just got more than ten million dollars for the local FBI in Homeland Security dollars. Odd too that Critical Mass bike rides were harassed in Akron Ohio, Portland Oregon and San Francisco. Odd that Critical Mass rides have been going on very peacefully for more than 3 years and suddenly there's a crack down across the nation. Odd too, that Critical Mass in Santa Cruz, California had a similar instance of police violence. Note too, this all comes on the heels of the Bike arrests and skirmish that happened in St. Louis at the Biodevastation Conference. But it's all just conjecture and of course we have no real way of knowing whether John Ashcroft is deploying money to aggressively root out the troublemakers J. Edgar Hoover style or whether we're all just paranoid. I'd suggest that we're not really all that paranoid since they actually are out to "get us".

I've talked to the cyclist injured, and yes he's doing fine. I don't ant to comment on his leagal status on a public website.

There were no cameras present (other than the one's the police had), but we did get badge numbers and names and a few complaints and reports have already been made by some of the other cyclists there.
