Americans to invite military coup: Gurung

PALPA, June 11 - A Politburo member of Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) Dev Gurung claimed the American military advisors are in Nepal with a motto to suppress the 'Peoples' war' and invite a military coup in the country.

Addressing to a mass meeting at Sandhikharka in Arghakhanchi district Tuesday, Gurung said,"Over three hundred American military advisors are training the Royal Nepal Army personnel."

Since India, China and England were not agreed to the imperialist stratagem of America, the attempt to invite military coup did not get succeed, he added further.

Commenting on the appointment of Prime minister Surya Bahdur Thapa, Gurung said," Since the Chanda government adopted the policy to prolong the peace negotiations for military movement, Thapa replaced him." (bg)
