Arturo Rodriguez, the president of the United Farm Workers, spoke with journalists before marching through the streets of Salinas.

Several unions marched with banners, including La Union Del Pueblo Entero (LUPE), the Monterey Bay Central Labor Council (MBCLC), and the Service Employees Industrial Union (SEIU) Local 535 of Monterey County. And, of course, the United Farm Workers!
