Mayor Kennedy's final word at the last open City Council meeting Thursday afternoon was that he had heard nothing from the heart-rending appeals by tenants about to be dislodged at Clear View by the City's proposed gutting of Rent Control that would change his mind.

There was no indication of any change after a special Saturday Closed Session.

Kennedy can be reached at 420-5020 as can the rest of the City Council--none of whom will be losing their housing on Tuesday as they fatten the bank accounts of the Clear View Court owners.

There will be no public comment allowed, but a large showing may empower residents to sue City Council, begin gathering signatures for a referendum to overturn the Council's aggressively pro-landlord decision, or take some kind of larger direct action.
