Dear Friends of the o2 collective,
Summer in the Klamath-Siskiyou is as beautiful as you could imagine. The last snows are melting on the high peaks. The madrones are dropping their
leaves. The rivers have gone from bracing to refreshing!
Lots of successful forest watch and legal work have the big saws quiet in all but a few parts of the area. But danger is on the horizon.
On July 7 the Forest Service will release its final decision on the Biscuit Burn and it is going to be bad. Emergency exemptions allow several sales to be auctioned on July 14. Cutting could happen within days. Now is a crucial time to act with another letter or phone call.
Our website has just been updated with new information about the timber sales and important actions that will only take a few minutes of your time.
You'll find a toll-free number to Congress: 1-800-839-5276 and a request to call your Senators to tell them to protect the Biscuit Fire Recovery
Area.
Please take a moment to check out the website and a couple minutes to make those calls.

It has been a pleasure to have visitors from Bellingham, Olympia, Eugene, Corvallis and Stanford. We hope to see more of you this summer. Let us know what we can do to help.
