Capitalism is not evil for the buying and selling of goods. The buying and selling of produce goes on in socialist societies as well. The difference is in the ownership of the means of production. In America a very small number of capitalists have controlling shares in every major corporation. They also control the government through the Democrat and Republican Parties and their ownership of the media. It is this capitalist class that sets an agenda of spending on spending on war, prisons, and police while exploiting the working class and the environment around the world for the maximum profit they can get away with extracting.
