4. Learn about the many different types of radiation. While some of it is extremely harmful, most is not. For instance, without electromagnetic radiation, we would all be blind. Why? Well, because part of the ER spectrum is affectionately known as "light." Further, you're bombarded with radiation every time you're outside. Step inside and some of it is filtered out, while other types continue to come right through the roof. Don't worry too much, this phenomenon has been occurring non-stop since long before life appeared on this planet ~4.5 billion years ago.
