I'm sure this is going to give Truth Warper orgasmic conniptions in which to extrapolate bizzare conspiracies about my alleged evil Zionist connections when I tell her(?) the following, but here goes anyway:

I got to know an Israeli Lubavitch Rabbi who worked as a deprogrammer. He only worked with Jewish families, and he was able to re-unite parents with (mostly grown) children after they had gotten taken up by a cult.

Those seedy stories of people being kidnapped and held against their will while the deprogrammers hammered at them around the clock may have happened somewhere with some people, but he used no such methods.

All he did was find the kid and talk to them. Over time, he was able to convince them that the cult-theology-organization had been playing mind games with their heads, using falsified information, and had purposely tried to break their bonds with their parents and family.

Some of the cults he was involved with were the Scientologists, the Moonies, Jews for Jesus, the Hare Krishna. He felt the the Palestinians have been so heavily indoctrinated with hate against Israel and the Jews, that each one of them needs to be deprogrammed.

That is when he outlined to me the method, that if employed would work. Perhaps a family member could talk a person into taking the treatment? In any case, I certainly was not suggesting that any treatment be coercive.

The thing you seem to have forgotten is that one of the great things about democracy and freedom is EVERYONE gets to express their point of view. Even those with unpopular views.

For you to insist on making this a territorial turf battle or for someone to post a death threat on this very site against Lee Kaplan and myself is just the opposite of freedom or democracy.
