The movie Matrix is a perfect metaphor for the corporate news which is controlled by six companies. They control what we see on TV and the movies, videos, newspapers, magazies books etc.

When Neo is unconscious and hooked up to all those tubes in the artificial uterus created by the machines, he doesnt know hes dreaming and thinking thoughts not his own.

The tubes represent all the aspects of corporate media. He is living in a virtual un-reality.

We have to wake ourselves up like Neo and stop sleepwalking as the news blathers on.
