As an underpaid teacher, I vigorously endorse the aims and goals of TUSC. Let's come together as a community and make it clear, we want our public funds spent on public needs, like housing, medical care, and education.
Enough of lopsided budgets which favor military, prison, and police industries.
As the GI bill in 1946 proved, the money spent paying for four years of college education for our returning soldiers from World War II remains to this date as some of the most wisely spent public funds in the history of the United States. Indeed, the income and wealth produced by those educated GI's came back in tax revenue 100-fold.
Restore cuts made to education!
