If we had always thought that this meant that we should just sit by and do nothing because human nature today is not what we want it to be, then we would still have slavery. Human nature does change, given sufficient motivation. If you don't like the "No Party" Ordinance, then when it passes circulate some petitions to get it repealed. I can help with that, but only in a very limited way as I'm not a city resident. One technique is to pair up with a city resident and direct people over to them so they can get more signatures. Kind of the opposite of being a blocker.
