"It's also the symbol of a country that year after year gives more in aid than any other country in the world. But hey, don't let simple facts get in the way of your America bashing."

1) Bashing some of what the U.S. flag stands for is not bashing the people of this country.

2) When U.S. soldiers killed off various native populations, it was the U.S. flag that they carried with them. When they set up forts as bases to steal the land, it was U.S. flags that flew from the poles.

3) Does this 'aid' include the huge sums of money given to the El Salvadorian government to murder and 'dissapear' it's people?

4) The U.S. actually does not donate a large amount of aid, if you compare it to it's GDP.

5) Much of this aid is highly politicized - only given to governments who support neo-con foreign policies - and not given to many of the needy clinics that provide birth control services because of the religious right's qualms.
