The anonymous poster claims that the Soviet Union invented the export of explosive megatons with missiles that were stationed in Cuba, yet neglects to mention that Cuba is a sovereign country with a right to self defense, a sovereign country that the U.S. had just attempted to invade and a sovereign country that had suffered for years under the U.S. imposed Batista dictatorship. If this was not enough, the Cubans could see the recent history of U.S. aggression in Korea murdering nearly 5 million people.

Did the Soviet Union bring the world to the brink of nuclear destruction when the U.S. placed nuclear missiles in Europe? No. But the United States had to bring the world to the edge of nuclear annihilation when tiny Cuba moved to defend itself from U.S. aggression. U.S. hands off Cuba!
