Tuesday morning at 9AM there were about 5-7 people at the City Council building, including Larry Templeton One of the city employees came out and recited his opinion to the group that once the city attorney received a letter from the homeless shelter that the shelter was full on the day that the camping tickets were written, that they would be dismissed. He directed the group to go to the city attorney's office and discuss this further. When the group arrived at the city attorney's office they were told by John Barisone that "I have no legal authority to dismiss the tickets. I won't dismiss the tickets. The tickets can only be dismissed when the National Gaurd Armory is full." Apparently this condition only occurs when the Armory is open in the winter. There may be a law to this effect, which Larry said he had a copy of given to him during this process. Larry Tempelton and his group then decided to wait until the Mayor, Christopher Krohn, might be available to talk to them at 4PM Tuesday afternoon, the 1st of October.
