supporting House Concurrent Resolution 473 which is co-sponsored by Sam Farr and Barbara Lee among others which asks that all peaceful means be utilized to defuse the situation regarding Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction. The vote was three in favor, one opposed and one abstention. The no vote was not because of an ideology opposed to the resolution. It was because that person did not believe the Board of Sups should be passing resolutions on international issues. The abstention was because that person did not see her constituents unanimously supporting the resolution at this time and did not want her personal feelings to be the subject of a vote. Arriving at 9:30, the remaining people from the audience who spoke all seemed to be in favor of the resolution.
