High School Student Art Competition,
14th – 27th July 2006

First Prize: NZ$1000 plus return air travel to New Zealand.
Three weeks fully hosted vacation.
Visits to Art Museums,
Weta Workshop Studio (home of Lord of the Rings and King Kong).
Tourist activities in the North Island of New Zealand.
Criteria to be followed:
· One entry only per person.
· Student must have been undertaking full time High School studies during 2006.
· Entrants must be under 18 years of age on 14th July 2006.
· Choice of candidates is left to the discretion of the school
· Entries are to be submitted to a local Rotary Club, which will arrange an elimination so that one entry from each school will go forward to the final.
· Works may be of any medium e.g. oils, watercolour, ink, pencil, collage, etc.
· Works must be ready for hanging, i.e. to have suitable frame or mount with “D� mounts and cord attached for hanging.
· Art work must not exceed 660 x 500mm (26� x 20�), inclusive of frame or mounting card.
· No triptychs unless within the measurements above.
· All entries must to be for sale.
· An envelope containing name of the artist, address and telephone number, school, and selling price of work (inclusive of 25% commission), must be securely attached to back of the work.
· In the event of winning, the entrant must be willing and able to undertake overseas travel.
· All entries must be submitted by June 1st 2006
Proceeds from this Art Festival will fund Child and Youth related charitable projects
supported by the Rotary Club of Otorohanga, New Zealand.
