It's true that individuals must share responsibility for not being made violent and cruel by the violent system of global patriarchy. However, I do blame the system set up by violent men because individuals who oppose it are swimming against the tide and have much to oppose-at personal risk of violence.

In addition to women, there are increasing numbers of non violent men who are opposing patriarchy -which is a social system-and is NOT biological determinism ("men are naturally violent" "testosterone poisoning" and other anti male sexist stereotypes. (the 1,500 years of peace in ancient Crete have proven that it is NOT natural for men to wage war)

Genievive Vaughan who supports a non violent global gifting economy (where we all help eachother based on NEED not GREED). This is the opposite of patriarcy.
