Management REACHED the tentative contract agreement -- A COMPROMISE more favorable than the "last, best, and final" offer -- with UTU 23. It was the SCMTD Board that rejected it. And they rejected it because the health care provisions benefited very few drivers at the expense of many. UTU 23, through their work rules and health care policy, have made clear that they care only about the most senior of drivers. But the rest have to fall in line because it's political suicide to do otherwise.
