That's all fine and good, but the problem as I see it is -- where does it end? People are not allowed to live freely in their natural habitat already. They are taxed in the form of rent or mortgage; not allowed to sleep in parks, etc. Native weeds aren't allowed to grow where they naturally should (cannabis, roadside weeds); now we have to pay for animals to be registered?? That is bullshit.
Animals are considered personal property (whether you believe that or not is another matter). Why should government have the right to spy and document on what is in my house if there is no evidence of a threat?
What is next? Taxation for those who fail to exercise? Registering your toaster oven? (It's dangerous, boys and girls!) You KNOW they've been planning the sex tarriff from day one!
Haven't we slid way too far down this slippery slope already? This is not acceptable, folks.
