Response to above comments

I keep IP addresses long enough to see who visits my site. Individuals who visit my site visit through an ISP. When someone attempts to hack my site, I attempt to have them shut down by their ISP. There are plenty of fascist heroes out there who thing it's their duty to shut down site like this. Some sites have limited bandwidth because of their limited budget, like mine.

I can't afford the extra bandwidth for repeated downloads from 5 different agencies at quantico: each claiming to be an "official liason with the FBI".

I am glad to get visits from government sites: some of these are from government workers who... well, your tax dollars at work!

On the other hand, some of this visits smell like the fascist boot of a governemnt that uses the web to track people who use it.

I know this for a fact, and plan to publish more on the mechanisms of its use by those whose motives have nothing to do with freedom of the press... or freedom of any sort, for that matter.

Finally, I think it's a good idea and about time for somemone to get curious about "the Military Department of California" before it is too late.

btw - I don't *keep* IP addresses - I log them, read them and then dispose of them just in case if any of our .gov and .mil visitors might wrongly consider me a source of info for one of their PERsecutions.

sincerely,

David Roknich,
