Dear Good Times Editor:

Please publish Josh Sonnenfeld's letter to the editor about your college Republicans article.

I see the angle of your article, that though Santa Cruz is seen as a liberal town, it is interesting to look at the conservatives here too. And I understand that from an editorial point of view, that an article about college Republicans is more interesting to readers than another article about progressive organizations.

However, I agree with Josh Sonnerfeld that though it might be "interesting" to know we have college Republicans on campus, it is a misrepresentation to say they are thriving, or to parrot their exagerated claims of success.

As an editor it is your important job to look critically at the information presented in the articles in the Good Times. And often enough, Good Times editors shirk good journalism by not digging deeply enough into a story.

Please publish Mr. Sonnenfeld's letter, included below for reference, in the letters section of the Good Times as soon as possible.
