"If she does bad reporting, as is quite common, we have no one else to turn to, AT THE SENTINEL."
This is the primary reason grassroots activts have worked tirellessly for many years maintaining independent outlets, such as indymedia, and Free Radio Santa Cruz. I often hear the FRSC folks who founded the station, talk about how bad Sentinel reporting on activists was a priime reason for FRSC being founded. Similarly, as news outlets are reformed for the digital age, grassroots media activists have createda and maintain these very websites, SO THAT YOU TOO CAN BECOME THE MEDIA! Use it, before we're all in jail ;)
