This is just another example of the waste of money that the upper executives of UC think they are entitled to at our expense. Using police for private security is a waste of our money and taxpayer funds. If they're busy wasting time protecting her from the boogie man then who's protecting the rest of us? Since when are publicly funded police officers used as private police for one person? Go ask Santa Cruz City police to sit outside your house all night, every night, because your scared of the dark and see what happens. Even if her concerns are valid, which I doubt, you don't use public police as your private security detail which takes away from the rest of the community. This is outragous and I agree that it should be moved to the main posts so the rest of us can see what's going on up there at UCSC.
