Hi folks,
the event was a great success! over 125 people showed up! The documentary was very well done, and though long (21/2 hours) held every one (excepte for a few children) with rapt attention.
There was a breif meditation at the beginning, to ground everyone in the heart, and afterwards there was speakers and tables from: The Santa Cruz Bill of Rights Defense league, The Campaign to elect Dennis Kucinich President of the United States, The Santa Cruz Chemtrail Action Network, and a representative from Mata Amritananda Mayi (Ammachi) a well loved model for positive action and service on the planet. The A.C.L.U very much wanted to come, but was not able to because of the last minute request.

This event was concieved, planned and organized in one week! It's amazing how things just come together when your doing a vision whose time has come. Spirit can truly work through all of us!

I am planning another event for the late summer early fall. It is going to be called "Awakening the heart: conscious activism for the New Millenium". The vision here is to integrate consciousness with activism. So often we see fear based, reactionary activism on one side, and head in the clouds, denial based spirituality on the other side. I feel like I have participated in both of those polarities personally!

By integrating our own healing and awareness (so we are not projecting our own inner wounds on "them" or whatever) we can be more effective in turning the tide on this planet from "tragic to magic", and making a positive difference.
