Let's interject some FACTS which are notoriously missing from the above piece. The February 11, 2004 battle that occurred near Netzarim, Gaza began with an anti-tank missile fired at IDF troops stationed near Netarim in order to protect it. As the IDF retaliated (as the Palestinian attackers knew they would) they were met by 200 gunmen firing on them.
Don't believe me---look it up in the New York Times!!
Also-- the IDF said the Palestinian causalties were all armed gunmen, which contradicts the above charge of the IDF attacking innocent civilians.
One more note of reality here: Look up (try Google--it works well!) some causality stats for the deaths of Palestinians and Israelis in the last 3 years. If the IDF is targeting "babies, children, women, old men" why do the Palestinian death stats show 95% of the deaths are male?
I guess the IDF must miss half the time---and by some stroke of sheer luck, they always seem to miss the women and only hit the men? But they were aiming at women and kids all along, right????
